Breakfast with Justina Blakeney

with 6 comments

“I tend to wake up early–before the rest of my household wakes up (my husband and cat) and so breakfast-time is my quiet time. I become pensive and think about what I want to accomplish during my day. I wish the l’il Boomba in my belly a good morning. I have my earl grey tea with a teaspoon of twitter and a splash of a magazine to get connected and inspired. I take my prenatal vitamins with a little OJ, and then enjoy a later breakfast with the boys when they wake up. I feel fresh and alert in the mornings, grateful for the opportunity to enjoy another day.”

  4. Thank you thank you thank you! I know a few years from I am truly going to cherish these photos–as I have a feeling my quiet, pensive ‘quiet’ time won;t be so quiet anymore with a toddler running around. Ha! Thank you B–for so beautifully capturing this special time in my life and in the life of my growing family. With love, ~J

  5. Just found your blog via Joy the Baker–what beautiful photos! May I be totally nosy and ask where your mug is from…? It’s (almost) as gorgeous as you!

    • Hi Caroline! Thanks for the sweet compliment! It’s not at all nosy to ask about the mug–but unless you live in Mexico, I fear my answer won’t be too helpful! I got the mug at a little ceramic shop in Cabo San Lucas–it was so big and so pretty I had to have it! Sometimes this site has similar mugs in their in inventory! Cheers :) http://www.emiliaceramics.com/shop/index.php?sort=2a&cPath=22_77&page=2
